
DOUGLAS J. WILSON – INSTRUCTOR
Douglas Wilson is the pastor of Christ Church in Moscow, Idaho. He is a founding board member of Logos School, a Senior Fellow of Theology at New Saint Andrews College, and he serves as an instructor at Greyfriars Hall, a ministerial training program at Christ Church. He helped to establish the Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches (CREC), and has authored numerous books on classical Christian education, the family, the church, and the Reformed Faith. After serving in the U.S. Navy in the submarine service, he completed a B.A. and M.A. in philosophy and a B.A. in classical studies from the University of Idaho. Douglas and his wife Nancy have three children and a bunch of grandkids.
DR. MIKE L. LAWYER – INSTRUCTOR
Mike Lawyer is an instructor at Greyfriars Hall, teaching Biblical Shepherding, Bible Grammar, and the third year recitation. He is also Pastor of Counseling and Parish Life at Christ Church. Dr. Lawyer holds a DMin in Biblical Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary, an MDiv from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Idaho. He is an adjunct instructor at New Saint Andrews College, teaching a course in practical theology. He is also certified as a Level 2 counselor for the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors. He has pastored churches for the past 30 years in California, Missouri, Washington and the Republic of the Marshall Islands . He and his wife, Eileen, live in Moscow with their daughter Rachel.
TOBY J. SUMPTER – INSTRUCTOR
Toby Sumpter serves as a pastor at Christ Church. He holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts and Culture from New St. Andrews College (2002) and an M.A. in Theological Studies with an emphasis in Church History from Erskine Theological Seminary (2008). He is the author of Blood Bought World and Job Through New Eyes: A Son for Glory. He and his wife, Jenny, have four children, and his favorite hobby is eating peanut butter.
BEN ZORNES – DEAN OF GREYFRIARS HALL
Ben Zornes joined the staff of Christ Church in September of 2015 as Executive Minister and also to oversee the Greyfriars Hall program as Dean. He has authored several books, and is also a songwriter, with several studio albums. In 2010 he graduated with his B.A. in Social Science & History from Thomas Edison State College. Ben previously served as Dean of Men for Ellerslie Leadership Training, in Windsor, CO; which is where he met his wife Elsje, who is from South Africa. While at Ellerslie, he also developed curriculum and taught courses on Christian History/Biography, Practical Christianity, Creative Writing, and Prayer & Bible Study. He received his M.A. in Theology and Letters from New St. Andrews College. Ben and Elsje currently have four kiddos.
